Guest information

A warm welcome awaits from Edward and you will probably see Georgy and their two young children during your stay as well. Not forgetting Slipper the super-friendly Border Terrier (who will be your best friend if you throw her ball for her). You’ll find a welcome hamper waiting for you at your holiday accommodation. There’s delicious locally produced honey, marmalade and jam as well as bread, milk and Kettle Chips. (The potatoes grown on the farm here go to their factory in Norwich and then back to us – around 40 food miles). Plus Norfolk tea, Norfolk-made cakes and biscuits and eggs laid by our own small brood of hens and ducks and collected daily by Georgy and the children.

Arrival & departure

Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is 10am on the day of departure

What's included

We provide hotel quality bed linen and super soft towels, hand towels and flannels. We ask that towels stay in the properties and you bring your own towels for the beach. Additional linen can be provided at an additional cost of £12/single bed and £15/king/super king bed. All of our holiday properties have fully equipped kitchens perfect for travelling with families or children. You will find an electric hob and oven, fridge and freezer, cafetiere, Tassimo coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave, pots, pans, cooking utensils, crockery and glassware including champagne glasses. Gresham Hall has an Aga which will be turned off in the hotter months unless specifically requested (it does heat up the kitchen to an unbearable level in summer!) Eco friendly washing up liquid, tea towels, oven gloves, J cloths and washing up cloths will be provided along with some dishwasher and washing tablets.

On your arrival you will find a complimentary welcome pack which includes a selection of local products, Norfolk tea, Norfolk biscuits or cakes, Kettle Chips, milk and juice as well as coffee and some Tassimo coffee capsules. Gresham Hall also has a bottle of champagne. Cakes and decorations can be included for special occasions on request for an additional cost.

Dog-friendly

We welcome dogs to all properties but ask that they do not go on any of the furniture, especially sofas and beds and do not go upstairs where applicable. In Gresham Hall we ask that dogs stay off the carpeted areas. Cleaning charges will apply if we find dogs have been on the furniture. Hall Cottage and Field Barn have an enclosed garden. All properties have a lovely selection of walks but as this is a working estate we do ask that dogs are kept on leads at all times when not in the garden. As well as all footpaths and bridlepaths we also have a few designated walks which are shown in the appropriate property. Please ensure you collect all dog poo from the gardens and public areas.

Hot tubs

Hot tubs are available for Gresham Hall and Ground Wing. Towels can be provided for the Hot Tub at a cost of £4 per towel. No glass is allowed in the hot tubs, plastic glasses have been provided for this. The use of the hot tub is at the guests risk and we ask that children are never left alone in the hot tubs. We drain and clean the hot tubs over after each booking which means that this may not be up to temperature on arrival but we know that you will understand as this means the water is fresh for your arrival.

Tennis court

A tennis court is available to use for guests for Gresham Hall, Ground, Middle and Upper Wing apartments and Hall Cottage. We don’t find that booking a slot is a requirement so we operate on a first come first served basis. Please bring your own balls and rackets.

Babies & children

Travel cots and high chairs can be provided on request. We do not provide an additional mattress or sheets for the travel cots. Properties also have books and games appropriate for all ages and some properties have outdoor games too.

Eco Ethos

It is important that our eco ethos is at the heart of everything we do here at Gresham Hall Estate:

  • When the hot tubs are emptied, we collect the water to use in the gardens.
  • Single use plastic is banned. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, hand soap and washing up liquid are all provided in refillable glass containers.
  • Fire wood is gathered from fallen trees in the grounds.
  • Honey, jam and marmalade is produced locally.
  • The sugarbeet and peas we grow on the estate go to local factories, keeping our carbon footprint ultra low.

We have also invested in an ecological biomass boiler. It ensures you will be kept toasty warm, with tons of hot water all year round.

Parking & electric cars

There is plenty of parking space and each property has its allocated area right outside the entrance to the property. We may be able to permit electric car charging by prior arrangement. If we find that cars have been charged without prior arrangement charges will apply as this may cause excess risk.

Holidays at Gresham Hall Estate are what dreams are made of! The holiday accommodation is situated within 1200 acres of private grounds that you can enjoy and explore during your time here.

With so many wonderful walks leading straight from your door, there are lots of delights to discover. There’s a shared tennis court (don’t forget to bring your tennis racket), beautiful gardens and an orchard too. You can even walk to the beach if you’re feeling adventurous (those staying at Field Barn and the glampsite will be closest to the beach).
